Love That Lives On

My great grandmother, Ruby, was my best friend. I spent so much time with her, whether it was watching Dr. Phil, her teaching me how to cook West Virginian style, or in the flower beds. We would go up to the local fruit markets and buy flowers, then head to McDonalds for her chocolate milkshake and my hot fudge sundae (heavy on the fudge). She taught me many things, but most importantly, that being happy is more important than anything. My whole life, Grandma Ruby didn't have a job, but she always kept busy and I always admired that about her. I chose the name Ruby Roots because Grandma Ruby's roots run very deep within me. She passed away in late 2025 and I am creating my business in honor of her.

I decided to start this business now because I have always struggled to find a career that stood out and made me feel confident with the decision. I never thought college was my route, but I never knew what that meant for me. My husband suggested this idea three years ago and I finally feel confident and capable. My goal with designing your gardens is to make you feel at home. I want you to sit in your back yard and feel at peace. Not only are plants beautiful, but therapeutic. I want to help everyone achieve the flower garden of their dreams or even help with regular maintenance or seasonal upkeep. I would describe my style as natural, clean, and cozy. I value your opinion as my customer. Honesty and hard work are two things Grandma Ruby taught me, and I will forever live up to that expectation.
